PTC Windchill: Uploading a file and checking files in/out

We address how to do the following actions in PTC Windchill:

  • Checking in files
  • Checking out files

Upload stores working copies of an *object you are editing in your Arbortext IsoDraw app to a folder location in Windchill without making your changes visible to other users. 

You must check in your *objects to publish changes to the shared area on the server.

You must check out your *objects first, before you modify it and check it back in.

EAC's technical account manager, Bill Schlund, teaches us how to upload a file and check files in and out within PTC Windchill.
