Companies across the board are hungry for new talent. While it is exciting to bring in new ideas, it is also important to acknowledge that before employees can become key players within any organization, they need proper training.

Today, on average, a new hire costs an organization approximately $1,500 per employee. Keep in mind, this doesn’t even take into account additional factors that go into making sure a new hire understands their responsibilities.

Today, in efforts to avoid additional costs associated with training, organizations have begun to collaborate with universities to offer students with high quality training classes to keep up with the ever-evolving needs of the industry.

Part of being a successful student at a college or university is making a connection to industry so you can lock in a career opportunity. PTC’s Authorized Training Program for Product Design and Development Technology increases productivity among students while giving graduates an advantage after graduation.

For example, PTC's first customer, John Deere has established the John Deere TECH program sponsoring programs at 24 different colleges throughout the United States and Canada to save significant time and money on training of their future employees.

Prior to graduation, students have the opportunity to work on the latest equipment and technology. When these students enter the workforce, they are ready to start putting their engineering experience to work!
